Laser Welding Application

Laser welding uses a laser beam to joint usually two materials together, usually without any additional materials, by using the heat generated by the focused laser beam to melt the materials together. Materials that employ laser welding are typically metals, but in recent years, laser welding is also used to weld polymers. The two most common methods of welding are seam weld and spot weld. As there is no contact between the material and the tools in laser welding, there is nothing to wear out. HyperLaser specializes in high precision, high speed micro-welding applications on stainless steel components and welding of plastic polymers, including welding of transparent plastic materials.
